An unstoppable express train of energy, mixing traditional Cuban street carnival sounds with Afro-Cuban folklore, funk and timba, Orchestra Bombo reflects the growing passion for the roots of Cuban dance music in London.
Born from players steeped in the capital’s Latin music scene, Orchestra Bombo is a ten-piece band featuring heavy percussion, vocals, trumpets and bass. Directed by Dave Pattman, a veteran of UK Salsa, and spotlighting world-renowned singer and percussionist Gerardo de Armas.
Orchestra Bombo performs on stage or street style in procession and can be augmented by dancers who lead and inspire audiences to join in the carnival.
