Introductory Rumba course

11th September – 6th November

Bombo Productions is delighted to announce a new introductory Rumba course. Rumba is the celebratory drum, song and dance tradition from Cuba. This music is influenced by other Cuban folkloric drumming styles such as batá and bembé. Students will learn conga techniques, syncopation, and examples of and drum rhythms for the three main types of rumbas: Yambu, Guaguanco and Columbia.

Location:  Vogue Fabrics Dalston, 66 Stoke Newington Road. N16 7XB

When: Tuesdays 11th September – 6th November

Time: 8.00 – 9.30pm

Drum Hire:
You can use our drums for free but you may need to help return it to where it is stored (which is 2 minutes from the venue). Please let us know when you book if you need a drum.


Pay by 28th August.
Early Bird Course Payment £110 (£12 per session) 10% discount for low income and students. Not sure what to expect? If you don’t like the first session we will refund you the remainder of the course.
Drop-in £18 (There is no discount available for this option)
£30 discount when you book both the rumba and batá course together (3 hours).
